What does HE mean?

Dryer not heating properly or heating circuit failed.

Common causes

• Failed heating element
• Thermal fuse blown
• High-limit thermostat open

Diagnostic & testing steps

2. 2. Test high-limit thermostat
3. 3. Test heating element: 8-20 ohms per section
4. 4. Verify 240VAC at element terminals (electric)
5. 5. For gas: check igniter and gas valve
